Five Things to do to Relax and De-Stress

One of the most important parts of having a balanced life is finding time to rest. Here are five things you can do to help you unwind:

1-Listen to music. Whether you use your iPod, your smart phone, YouTube, Pandora, Spotify, or Apple Music, listening with no distractions is a great way to relieve stress. Listening to a favorite album can also be good.

2-Read. Whether it’s a novel or a short story, reading provides a nice escape and lets you use your imagination.

3-Binge-watch a TV show. With Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, and things on demand, streaming shows has become a popular way to enjoy television programs. Watching an episode or two (or five) of a show you like can be a great way to get out of your head.

4-Practice breathing exercises. Focusing on your breath helps you to clear your mind. It allows you to be calm and lowers your stress levels, which is good for your health.

5-Paint or draw. Art gives you a healthy way to express your emotions. It can also be really fun.

These are just a few things you can do to relax. Explore things that are fun and find what works best for you.
